Open positions

Postdocs

We currently have an opening for an exceptional postdoctoral researcher (2 years) working on the development of novel inversion methods. If you are interested in joining our group, please email Marianne Haseloff.

We are also seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to advance ice sheet modeling and sealevel rise projections as part of a UW-Madison funded Research Forward project. This project aims to investigate climate-ice sheet coupling in Earth System Models with interactive ice sheets while engaging stakeholders throughout the research process. The position will contribute to both fundamental scientific understanding towards this goal and practical coastal risk applications. More information is in our job ad and apply by OCTOBER 31st.

MSc/PhD students

We are always looking for enthusiastic students interested in joining our group. Areas of interest include:

  • Ice stream dynamics
  • Marine ice sheets
  • Ice/ocean interactions
  • Subglacial hydrology
  • Icy moons in the solar system
  • Multiphase fluid dynamics
  • Viscous fluid dynamics

To discuss possible projects, please get in touch!

Undergraduate students

If you are an undergraduate student interested in glaciers and ice sheets with a strong background in theoretical or computational physics, applied math, and/or data science, please reach out to Marianne Haseloff (mhaseloff@wisc.edu) to discuss opportunities to get involved in our research.
